Tuesday Day #4

There is going to be a rooster murder one of these mornings.. they just wander everywhere and there is loads of them all over - new definition on "free range" - but hey it is their country not ours.

Went to the "Waffle Shack" for breakfast this morning, and made it healthy..  by adding the fruit and a great coffee..

I had an appointment to talk "tattoo's" with a Polynesian tattoo artist so we headed there and it was great to talk and plan.. enough said you will have to wait and see what comes of that..

Home to get the snorkelling kit and off to the spot we have found and like.  There was a very strong incoming current so the swim out to the reef edge was a long hard swim.
.
Got dressed and tidy by the car and off to lunch, back to "The Moorings" and both has Tuna Sashimi and it was as good as always.  Loads of it and melts on your tongue.

We had the car only booked till today but have extended to keep for the whole time as we find it easy to get around for coffee, chase sunsets, go to snorkelling spots and lunch/breakfast.

Planning to go back to the Muri Night market for dinner again.  Tomorrow is Aitutaki Day tour so up early tomorrow (7am pickup across our road).

Yesterday we visited the local Tokelau Jim http://tokeraujimdesigns.website/about_us.html, pearl shell and pearl carver and found this absolutely stunning pendant..

Each of the bars or patterns have meaning and a purpose on the piece and the pearl is naturally imbedded in the shell.  I got the lady to write down each of the meanings so I would not forget. The Polynesian meanings are so positive, optimistic and encouraging to the owner/user or wearer.  This is the same with the Tattoo's - very very personal.

Time for a lazy hour or so, be back after dinner to finalise the post...

We had a lovely hour or so sitting near "Black Rock" doing some time lapse photos and some still ones too.  It was so peaceful just sitting and watching.  Here are two of my results......

We went onto dinner at the Muri Night Market and had another wonderful meal for very little money, found fresh fruit smoothies tonight.

Home and early night as we are getting up very early for a big day at Aitutaki..... Can't wait.

Keep safe everyone.
