Day #6 - Thursday

A lovely sleep in this morning, we headed off for our breakfast at LBV, which was delicious and we shared bacon and eggs there and then drove (max speed on the island is 50 kph) to the main town and back to the Waffle Shack for breakfast #2, waffle with fresh fruit and maple syrup and more coffee.

Home to pack the snorkelling kit and dry clothes (to wear for lunch) and off to our favourite reef spot. We snorkelled out on the reef for about 1 to 1/2 hours, Bert took some pictures but I just watched the fish doing their thing.  There were many schools of different fish around today.  Saw a lovely 2 metre long (well it looked that big) trumpet fish just cruising around.  The sun was out, making the pure white sandy bottom glitter,  and the water temperature was 25C (the man on the local radio channel said so).

We had lunch at "The Moorings" again.  The other day we gave them some avocado's off the tree here (the owner of the house said she gives them to them so we did too) and on the menu today was everything with "our" avocado's.

Went for a walk out on the Muri point and took some surf photos and wandered around a bit - had another coffee at LBV before heading home to do blogs, rearrange the washing and take a little chill time.

We seem to have been adopted by a lovely ginger cat and Bert is calling her "Mr Pickles" we think it is a her....  she is asleep here on the lounge next to me now as I write..
