Day #7 Friday

Up early as we have a fishing trip booked for 8:30am, it looks lovely weather so hoping for a lovely day.  We went to the East side for the sunrise by 7:00am and had a great spot picked out (see pics below)

Breakfast at the Waffle Shack and off to the boat harbour to look for AKURA. We head out with loads of fishing rods all set to catch fish.  We went around and around for 4 hours and not a single bite.   Real shame but a lovely day out on the deep blue sea, the colour of the water was "ink blue".  The island of Rarotonga is the top of a huge underwater mountain and this is only the little bit at the top, so the reef edge is a huge drop off to 4000 metres plus (so we've been told).

Back at lunch time and off to The Moorings for lunch and I was feeling a little yuk in the tummy so home for a break via the shops and a good walk around.  Found a lovely cafe in the Antique Mall area and promised to go back and try their coffee, they have an old fashion record player and vinyl records you can play.

Wandered some of the back streets and some old churches and buildings were there.  Quiet dinner at home both of us were tired.
