September 16, Sunday - Dubai to Spain

Up early again, 5am out of hotel to airport. All checked in and through immigration etc in no time at all. Had to take the train between terminals.

Found our travelling companions (Bob and Joyce) with no difficulty and had a lovely breakfast. They flew direct from Perth, and now another 7 hours to Barcelona - don't know how they do it.. Another boring flight of sitting, watching movies and eating and we were there.

Hire car was easy once the 'inexperienced American traveller' finished confusing and complaining to the poor hire car lady. She was very polite and excellent English with us.

On the road again, about 1.5 hrs up the road and came to our overnight stop. The hotel is a little dated but clean and the people are very nice and trying to help. Dinner at 8:30pm was far too late for us, they made us bagels to go with our beer..

price of beer: 2 icey cold beers = €3.50 = $5.00 approx - for both - not each!!
