April 29th - on the move to Cebu

Packed and up at 4:45am, Us and bags into the buses and round to SUP centre for breakfast.

A 45 minute ride to the nearby harbour and into a lovely very white single hull, double outrigger boat - our luggage already on board.  Settle in for a 2.5 hr trip to Cebu Island. It was very calm and no waves at all, we saw a pod of dolphins playing and just relaxed.

Arrived and kitted up for a whale shark snorkel, there was 6 on our boat only which was lovely, we had 30 minutes in the water and it passed us about 6-7 times very close and even touch one of the ladies on the foot.

Lunch on the waterfront and off to another waterfall!  For a swim.  This time we had to get motorbikes down the very very steep hill 50 Pasos per person - each way.  When you see the steep hill it is worth every penny.

Then 3 hour drive into Cebu City to the Well Hotel.  We were ok till we got in the lift with our luggage and it stopped between floors - not impressed.

Stella and I went out and bought a hot chicken and some pork from the street vender, I ordered salad and chips from room service.  Eat and crashed - very tired.

Get up tomorrow is not till 9:45am so no rush is needed.

Bert reminded me of Baku - they use it as sweets and in smoothies - it is the centre of the coconut that has sprouted - never see it before.  We tasted it raw at the Women's Community lunch and saw it again today at the Cebu airport and they make smoothies with sugar cane.  We had sugar cane  smoothies but I had watermelon and Bert had ginger - both were wonderful.
