April 28th - Loboc, Philippines

Up early to go and paddle to a water fall, we had morning tea and cake, and a lovely welcome by the local community leaders.  Down a steep pathway and into our paddle boards, there were logs and blocked water ways so it was fun manoeuvring around them.

We passed under a bamboo walking bridge and the local folk showered us in flower petals, it was lovely.

Pictures to follow, I am typing this as we drive so - may be a little disjointed.

Down to a muddy pathway to dismount and wandered off into the bush beside the river and Women's Community cooked us a fantastic local meal, did some local dancing for us, and showed us some of their local crafts.  It was good fun.  Back on the boards to the bamboo walking bridge and off the water.

Onto the waterfall now for a climb down and a cool swim.  It was very pretty and much needed cool water.  Up the 197 steps (they advertised it at the top) and I changed - between 2 buses 😜 - out of my wet clothes to go for dinner.

We drove into the biggest town of the Loboc area and had a lovely Phillipino Meal at a very posh restaurant, ate things such as deep fried whole  crab, deep fried whole shrimp, pork and beef ribs etc were lovely.  About 45 minutes to home.

Very tired with an early get up tomorrow so into bed...
