Up and had a nice breakfast in the hotel, we wanted to do the old quarter sites so across the road and in we ventured. Found the very old cathedral, that was a mosque until - around 1295 AD, then it became a catholic cathedral. They gutted the centre of the mosque and put in a very ornate and elaborate Christian cathedral.
about Cordoba city, a very ancient and important city in Spain for hundreds of years - this site has good information http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Córdoba,_Andalusia
A fantastic mix of religions but so much at odds with each other too..
Off around the area looking but it is getting rather hot, the afternoons are very warm - between 2-4pm are around the 30c mark.
Down by the river is a fantastic roman bridge and old mill with a water wheel.
We had a lovely dinner of Tarjines (Bert had chicken and I had meat balls and cous cous).
