Day Two - Arriving in Tasmania

Sydney to Hobart

Up for breakfast and out to the airport, boy is Sydney Domestic Airport busy, noisy and a little overwhelming. It was a quick 1:35 min flight to Hobart. Arrived and it was raining and 10C... Let the adventure begin.. Got our hire car for the next 15 days and we are off and running.

20 mins and we are parked up at the hotel checking in! Easy! Nice studio room - double bed and 2 single and kitchenette in each apartment, we have one apartment each. Fountainside Hotel.

Time to put the bags down and go for a wander, coats on we headed off to the wharf area and found a lovely fish and chip complex. Had a well deserved coffee and toasted sandwich - we are going back for fish and chips for dinner!!!! Joyce's pick for dinner..

Wandered around the wharf area and into the outskirts of Salamanca Markets but they are not on till tomorrow..

Found the Woolworth's and did a little stocking up for the room (tea, breakfast etc) and back to hotel for a break.

Having a small break after a cuppa, freshen up and go down for dinner.

We went to our fish and chips on Fishermans Wharf - oh the garlic scallops were good!! A lovely wander back through the fishing boats and the lobster baskets made from old twigs and branches.

Cold and tired - 6 C outside... Off to an early night.

This picture below is Hobart town with Mt Wellington behind, tonight with cloud...
