Travel to Eaglehawk Neck and Port Arthur
Had a lovely breakfast and headed off south, only 133kms to go but it could take a couple of hours and no one is feeling great. Headed off to the Spikey Bridge just down the road, our little cottage was built at the same time as this bridge and close by it.
Onward south and had our first visit to Maccers for coffee in Sorrell, it was OK. Next stop was Eaglehawk Neck. Beautiful countryside and now we see the very narrow slice of land only a little wider than the road between the ocean and the river. Raining so we headed tour accommodation at the Norfolk Bay Convict Station. Our Taranna Accommodation

This photos is of the cliffs on the Tasman Pennisula, wildman country. Apparently there was a chain of dogs across the narrow land at Eaglehawk Neck and they were so vicious it kept the convicts from escaping.
We arrived a little early but were shown to our rooms anyway, we had the Laurel room and Bob and Joyce got the Post Office Room.
Bert and I went for a drive around the Peninsula but Bob and once had a rest up. We went to Coal Mines which is an old convict coal mine - what else? It was well maintained ruins and totally free and no gift shops etc...

Off to finish the drive around the peninsula- so much farming land for sale and most have water views or are on the beach. Needed to find dinner but everything seemed shut so we went back to the bigger hotel at Eaglehawk Neck and booked a table there. Very 60's decor with huge windows looking over the ocean - very beautiful.
Home and a port in the guest lounge with a fire burning, very pleasant...
When we turned off the lights in our room we had stars scattered on the ceiling, couldn't see any stickers when the lights were on but they were really pretty glowing in the dark...
