Departure Day - Sydney International Airport - Thursday September 8th

Today, is probably officially day one of our trip.  Up very early - ready to go.  Coffee with our friends and off down the road to Sydney Town.

Went and visited Mum and Dad with some lovely fresh flowers, a little ritual each time we drive by. (For those that don't know mum and dad's ashes are in a memorial garden on our way to Sydney).

Parked up at the longterm carpark and heading to the Rydges Sydney International Airport..

Needed lunch, so after checking in we headed over to the airport for some vietnamese rolls and a walk to stretch our legs, and back for an afternoon nap.

Dinner was in the hotel, huge meal and a chat to some lovely folk at the next table who are heading to the USA tomorrow.

Now, I know I should not talk about food all the time but we had our first desert for a long time... and boy was it good but so rich.

Now for a cup of tea, and wait for all that to go down.
