Day #9 - Sunday

Another lazy 7:00am start today, and off to breakfast at LBV. We shared a big breakfast which was more than sufficient for us both and a lovely coffee.

Today the plan was to drive up and down some of the back streets to see what we could find and photograph, it was great fun and very enlightening.  Below are some random pictures from today.

Lunch was to be at The Moorings but a tour of 20+ arrived just as we did, so we headed into town for something. Sundays here are religious days and most shops are not open so options are limited. They are not allowed to sell any alcohol on Holy Days (Sunday) - refreshing change to our 24/7 world.

Snorkelled again at the same spot and loved it again, a wind was up so it was a little chilly today, kite surfers were using the beach today, we haven't seen that all week.

Off to the night market in Muri for dinner and home for early night.

Probably won't post tomorrow, we have a few appointments in the morning and then lunch at The Moorings, drop off the car.  The car has been very useful to us, we can go anywhere anytime and it carries all the snorkelling gear and shopping - a scooter wouldn't have coped.

We will have a quiet afternoon, try and sleep from around 6pm to 11pm, then head to the airport for our 2:25am flight - yes indeedy - 2:25am...... off to Auckland, change planes and 2 hours on the ground then head to Sydney - pick up the car and 3 hour drive home.  See from FB  that it is cold at home so that will be a change.  I am writing this in a t-shirt and crazy pants with the front door to the beach open and feel the sun has been on my face (tingle).

A random lean too shed.
Back street, this building and the one higher on the hill made
from lumps of coral. Looks very very old.

Stunning flower, there is loads around.
A date palm in fruit.
