That is our last day of the week in Barcelona. Can't believe we have done a whole week here, we have seen so much, walked a million miles or at least 80kms around the streets of Barcelona.
Today - we all catch a taxi to the big shopping mall L'illa, and Joyce is successful with her shopping but we have no luck. Return home and Bob and I go and claim his tax refunds for their shopping and Bert and Joyce have coffee and we all meet up for lunch at La Rioja near our apartment. Another wonderful meal. Need a nap with our full bellies - Bert sleeps but I don't - meeting the family for goodbye drinkies at 6pm so up and dressed as we really have to say goodbye to everyone - it was very sad but we have had such a wonderful week with everyone coming over and the day trip to Monserrat on the bus, dinners out and drinks on various balconies.
Stroll home through the wonderfully ornate, narrow, cobbled streets of Gothic Barcelona one last time and have a quiet meal in a back street restaurant. Can't be too late as we have an early morning..
thank you everyone who came to make it such a wonderful, memorable trip!!!! It is also our last night with Bob and Joyce (Bert's folks) - they have about 4 more days in Barcelona before heading home.
