Slept so well, now for a day of adventuring and learning the little old town. We headed off on foot to the beach front. All four off ready to find out what was around.
Bob and Joyce having fun, boy it was a cold wind this morning. Although it did warm up as the day proceeded.
Bert and I went to the top of the marina turrets and took some pictures, the view was very good.
We had a lovely lunch on the harbour front, and a glass of wine. The French people stop everything from 12 noon for 2 hours for lunch - so very civilised.
Sardines and chips!!!
We wandered the long way home to walk off our lunch to find out one of the front door locks did not have a key. We were so lucky that that the landlord - Pierre who lives next door came home. He had to climb across his roof into our garden to let us in. We could have been locked out for ages.
Next job at hand was to go and find what was for dinner. About 2 blocks away there is the most wonderful shop with prepared foods that would make our Supermarkets hang their heads in shame. So we had chicken and salad - French style.
Joyce has bought a selection of sweet cakes....for desert!!!
This house is at the end of our street.
This is the turret Bert and I climbed, big stone stairs and spiral stone staircases too.
