September 14, Sunday - Sydney to Dubai

Up at 2:30am (yes really) and across the road to Sydney International Airport - closed... At 3am the airport opened and so did the check in counter but not the customs department. 4am we got into customs, and duty free opened at 5:00am.. How embarrassing that is our biggest and best airport!!

14 hours on a plane - we had a very patient man on the aisle, we tried not to bother him too much, I got 2 hours sleep and Bert got not much at all.

Upon arrival, it was easy thru baggage and customs, and taxi to hotel and in our room within 1 hour of landing.

Not to be beaten with no sleep - we changed and wandered off into Bur Dubai and ended up on a little putt putt boat up the creek for a round trip, our boat captain Hashim was very nice and told what everything was as we went past.

It was really nice to get on the water after being couped up in the plane for so long.

Dinner tonight in the hotel Indian restaurant and into bed!!!!

The view from our hotel room.

the working boats, the little boats go from Dubai Creek to India, Bangladesh, Iraq and Somalia. They are all hand loaded - no cranes working these little ships.

This beautiful building reflects the river traffic, look at the images it is reflecting lower section........

The old architecture in the market near our hotel...
